Moment of Astronomy in 2013 | For observers of astronomy or natural phenomena enthusiasts especially liked the observation of celestial objects, the following info is useful to note. Mark your calendars and do not miss the best time to observe objects in the sky in 2013.

January 21: Conjunction of Jupiter which resulted in a very close distance to the Earth.

February 2 to 23: best sighting of Mercury in the afternoon / evening.

March 10 to 24: panstarrs comet sightings.

25 April: partial lunar eclipse.

May 9: Solar eclipse ring ("Ring of Fire"). Disc occurs when the Moon (at the height of the eclipse) does not cover the entire solar disc because the Moon is smaller dish size of the Sun disc. Part of the Sun that is not covered by the moon will look like a glowing ring.

May 24 to 30: Dance of the planets, which means events when Mercury, Venus and Jupiter visible 'dance' with each other in the twilight sky, as they are changing position.

June 23: The appearance of the biggest full moon in the year 2013.

August 12: Perseid meteor shower.

October 18: penumbral lunar eclipse. At this eclipse, the entire moon is in the penumbra part. So the moon can still be seen with gloomy colors.

3 November: hybrid solar eclipse. In one place as a total solar eclipse is observed, but in other places as a solar eclipse observed ring. This is a rare phenomenon.

13 to 14 December: Geminid meteor shower.
